What does preventative service maintenance really mean in practice when Franck visits a Genus Focus job at ISA in France?
Franck Caron is Service Manager at Vencomatic Group France.
He takes you into the world of service maintence and shares how his days look like.
First of all, everything must happen in absolute hygiene. This starts with taking a shower at the entrance of the hatchery and changing into a set of clothes provided by them. Hygiene doesn’t stop there. Also, the tools that I need to use for the job need to always stay clean. The tools never leave the ISA hatchery to avoid any contamination.
Only after this first step, am I ready to start my job. I contact the operators of the Genus Focus to understand if they have encountered any problems since my last visit. If that is the case, I will focus on those issues first. After this, I will start the routine checks. These include checking things like:

All in all, a long list of parts of Genus Focus that needs to be verified, adjusted, or even replaced. All with the goal to have the system run according to the specifications.
Once I am finished with the service check, I will restart the Genus Focus system and control it again, verifying everything functions correctly. Only after this I will complete the service job and will have a conversation with the client about all my findings and work completed. Of course, we document everything later via the intervention report which is shared with the teams at Vencomatic and Prinzen.
I love my job, as service doesn’t only bring great satisfaction to the customer but also to me. I am keen to help our customers so we can prevent issue and have their operations run as efficient and smoothly as possible. Routine services are essential to ensure I can detect any potential issues before they even happen.

Genus Focus analyzes eggs on embryonic development on day 12 and before. It then classifies the eggs into females, males, and clear eggs. Genus Focus works for all color eggs and poultry breeds without effect on hatchability. Only one operator is needed to manage the Genus Focus.
Think ahead with poultry people.
