Ovoclear awarded one Innov'Space star at SPACE 2026

We are proud to announce that our Ovoclear has been awarded one Innov'Space star. The recognition highlights a practical innovation that automates a task which, until now, has remained manual and repetitive throughout egg collection.

The award was presented on 15 September at SPACE 2026 in Rennes, where our team collected the prize.

Visitors also had the opportunity to discover Ovoclear at our stand and discuss its role in creating a cleaner, more consisted egg flow.

Automating a long-standing manual task

Feathers in the egg flow can create several downstream challenges. They may interfere with packing equipment, contribute to false readings in vision-based graders and introduce hygiene concerns as eggs move towards packing or hatchery operations. Removing these feathers has traditionally required operators to intervene manually, several times a day and on every belt.

Ovoclear addresses this challenge directly in the egg handling line. It is the first inspection roller conveyor to integrate automated feather removal, turning a variable, labour-dependent task into a continuous in-line process.

How Ovoclear works

Purpose-designed rollers gently clamp and remove feathers from the eggs as they pass through the machine. Ovoclear removes 75-90% of feathers continuously and uniformly, including feathers that are firmly attached to the eggshell.

At the same time, the eggs rotate horizontally on the rollers, presenting their surface for visual quality inspection. Operators can identify and manually remove poor-quality eggs at the same station, combining automated feather removal and visual inspection in one compact solution.

Designed for table and hatching eggs

With a capacity of up to 45,000 eggs per hour, Ovoclear can be used for both table eggs and hatching eggs. Its compact footprint allows it to be incorporated into existing egg collection rooms. Positioned after Meggsius Detect, it forms part of the Egg Way approach: cracked and leaking eggs are detected upstream, after which Ovoclear removes feathers before the eggs continue to packing, grading or hatchery operations.
