Tunisia – Savinord operates several broiler breeding farms and a hatchery in the Tabarka region. Always aiming for modernization and efficiency, the company has made significant steps forward in recent years. Technical Director Chaouki Hemissi, Quality Manager Brahmi Gada, and Production Manager Bdiri Sihem share their
experiences.
Chaouki explains: “We produce day-old chicks under very strict quality standards. Since partnering with Vencomatic Group in 2019, we have seen a clear improvement in our results. The Van Gent Nest was an obvious choice for us. Its open design, comfort for the birds, and easy accessibility stood out, while it also integrated smoothly into our existing houses.”
The benefits soon became visible. “The nest makes egg collection much easier, resulting in fewer broken or rejected eggs. Combined with Prinzen’s hatchery line, we notice better shell quality, which directly translates into improved hatchability and healthier chicks,” Chaouki adds.
A Step forward in automation
Savinord’s hatchery is equipped with a complete line of automation: a packer with candling unit, a system loader, and an empty tray stacker. This setup has had a significant impact on both efficiency and consistency.
Bdiri highlights the difference: “Thanks to automation in the sorting process, the quality of the hatching eggs has improved considerably. Proper selection of hatching eggs is key—it leads to higher hatchability rates and more uniform chicks. Automation not only saves labor but also ensures accuracy and reliability in every step of the process.”
Sustainable Growth
By embracing innovative solutions from Vencomatic Group and a good cooperation with their local partner, Savinord is strengthening its position in the Tunisian poultry industry. With higher efficiency, improved chick quality, and a more sustainable production process, the company is well-prepared for future growth—continuing its mission of delivering excellence in poultry production.
