Imsa sets new standard in breeder biosecurity

1 min read published on 29 June 2026

USA - In Tennessee, USA, Sanfer® IMSA has taken a major step forward in breeder production by commissioning a unique project that combines advanced housing with integrated air treatment. The project consists of four breeder houses, each accommodating 10,000 birds and equipped with four Veranda systems and ECO Zero APF.

For Sanfer® IMSA, a leading provider of poultry solutions the objective was clear: create a highly secure environment where breeder flocks can thrive while minimizing the risk of disease introduction. At a time when avian influenza continues to challenge the poultry industry worldwide, biosecurity was a key driver behind every design decision.

A world-first approach

What makes this project truly remarkable is that it is the first breeder project in the world to combine Veranda housing with the advanced ECO Zero Air Pathogen Free (APF) system on this scale.

The integrated air treatment solution goes beyond conventional ventilation. Incoming air passes through multiple filtration stages before entering the house, significantly reducing the risk of airborne pathogens. At the same time, the system combines filtration, cooling and heat recovery in one integrated solution, ensuring stable climate conditions throughout the year.

The result is an environment where bird health, welfare and production performance can be optimized while maintaining the highest possible level of biosecurity.

Biosecurity as a foundation for success

For IMSA, the investment was not only about climate control. The project was built around the principle that prevention is better than cure. By filtering incoming air and creating a controlled environment, the risk of disease entering the flock is significantly reduced. This provides peace of mind for farm management while supporting consistent production results and long-term flock health.

 Golden Egg Award
At our global partner event 2026, our partner Evolución Technológica received the Golden Egg Award for the Imsa project in the category Layers. The Golden Egg Award is an integral part of Vencomatic Groups Global dealer event, allowing each partner to submit a project they believe deserves the title of Project of the Year.
